Malaga, Spain, and London. He has seven years’ experience in critical care<br />

(A&E and ITU) in central London hospitals and has worked <strong>for</strong> Médecins<br />

Sans Frontières in South Sudan, Darfur, Ethiopia and currently Uganda. In<br />

October 2010 he will return to the UK to study on the MA programme in<br />

Conflict, Security and Development at the University <strong>of</strong> Brad<strong>for</strong>d.<br />

Dave Edye is Senior Lecturer in <strong>Politics</strong> in the Department <strong>of</strong> Law,<br />

Governance and International Relations at London Metropolitan<br />

University. His main research interests include migration, postcolonialism<br />

and innovative teaching strategies.<br />

Caroline Gibson was project manager <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Scholarship</strong> <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>Engagement</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>Politics</strong>. She is currently the manager <strong>of</strong> the Reinvention<br />

Centre’s undergraduate journal, Reinvention: A Journal <strong>of</strong><br />

Undergraduate Research and is undertaking an MA in Social Research at<br />

the University <strong>of</strong> Warwick.<br />

Jonathan Gorry is Senior Lecturer in <strong>Politics</strong> and Sociology at the<br />

University <strong>of</strong> Northampton. He designed and leads Northampton’s MA in<br />

international relations and is currently engaged with bringing<br />

Northampton’s new BA in Citizenship into being.<br />

Lucy Holdaway is the Senior Training Officer at International Alert, Sri<br />

Lanka. Lucy worked <strong>for</strong> International Alert in their London Training and<br />

Learning Team <strong>for</strong> the past three years coordinating the development and<br />

delivery <strong>of</strong> training <strong>for</strong> individuals, organisations and institutions working<br />

in the peacebuilding field and establishing assessment mechanisms <strong>for</strong><br />

peacebuilding training. Prior to this Lucy was engaged in humanitarian<br />

and development work with refugees and asylum-seekers both in the UK<br />

and overseas.<br />
