7.5 REVISED OUTCOMES FOR REGIONAL RESOURCE ALLOCATION
The revised outcomes for regional resource allocations presented in Table 7.3 incorporate the
resolution of options reported for Steps 1 to 4, in favour of:
1. Continued modelling of Base 2 and Base 3 populations;
2. Inclusion of five need variables, and
3. Weighting without adjustment, in accord with the distribution of scaled scores, and
double weighting of the SES and ARIA variables to illustrate the impact of differential
weighting of variables. Maximum and minimum shares for each region are highlighted.
