ELAN g! celebrates first anniversary with KNX compatibility &<br />

introduction <strong>of</strong> chinese character support<br />

announces OMNEO media<br />

networking architecture at<br />

<strong>ISE</strong> <strong>2012</strong><br />

New range <strong>of</strong> in-wall lighting<br />

control from Crestron<br />

Bosch Security Systems will announce OMNEO, its media<br />

networking architecture at <strong>ISE</strong> <strong>2012</strong>. OMNEO is comprised<br />

<strong>of</strong> two components: program transport and system control for<br />

pr<strong>of</strong>essional media networking applications.<br />

OMNEO networks operate over standard Ethernet<br />

networks, and will be fully compliant with emerging standards.<br />

<strong>The</strong> system has an audio program transport protocol suite that<br />

<strong>of</strong>fers low-latency, high-quality multichannel audio stream<br />

exchange. OMNEO also has a robust control protocol suite<br />

that provides reliable and secure system control for pro media<br />

networks <strong>of</strong> all sizes, from small to intercontinental.<br />

<strong>The</strong> system control component is called OCA, for Open<br />

Control Architecture. It includes many features for flexibility,<br />

reliability, security, and compatible growth over the years.<br />

Crestron’s CLWI range is a new series <strong>of</strong> products<br />

that make the perfect retr<strong>of</strong>it lighting control<br />

solution and will be on show at <strong>ISE</strong> <strong>2012</strong>. Designed<br />

for the European residential market, the range is<br />

ideal for electricians and installers looking to make<br />

their first move into lighting control installations.<br />

Featuring a range <strong>of</strong> in-wall dimmers and<br />

keypads, the CLWI range is easy to install and<br />

<strong>of</strong>fers programming-free set-up to ensure a<br />

stress-free installation. When attached to a<br />

Crestron network it also functions as a keypad,<br />

sending commands to trigger whole-room lighting<br />

scenes or distributed audio functions.<br />

Supporting up to six buttons, the in-wall<br />

dimmer or switch serves as user control<br />

interface in any Crestron system. Its single-box<br />

form maximises control in a small space while<br />

increasing the opportunity for multi-room Crestron<br />

control. Also available are aesthetically matched<br />

standalone keypads which use Cresnet or infiNET<br />

EX wireless communications.<br />
