20. ARPEG. B — SYNTH/VOCODER<br />

Here you can make additional arpeggio-related settings. "LAST STEP" (knob 4 ) sets the number of steps in the arpeggio. "LATCH" (knob 1 )<br />

specifies how the arpeggiator will operate when you release the keyboard, "SWING" (knob 2 ) adjusts the sense of swing, and "KEY SYNC"<br />

(knob 3 ) specifies how the arpeggiator will be synchronized to the keyboard. In addition, "TARGET TIMBRE" (knob 5 ) specifies which<br />

timbre(s) of a Layer synth program will be sounded by the arpeggiator.<br />

LATCH<br />

[OFF, ON]<br />

Specifies how the arpeggiator will<br />

operate when you take your hand<br />

off of the keyboard.<br />

OFF ( ):<br />

The arpeggiator will stop playing<br />

when you take your hand off of the<br />

keyboard.<br />

ON ( ):<br />

The arpeggiator will continue playing<br />

even if you take your hand off<br />

of the keyboard.<br />

SWING [-100...100]<br />

Specifies the percentage (%) by<br />

which even-numbered notes of the<br />

arpeggio will be shifted in timing<br />

relative to the first note.<br />

KEY SYNC<br />

[OFF, ON]<br />

Specifies whether the arpeggiator<br />

will be synchronized to the keyboard.<br />

If this is ON, the arpeggiator will<br />

always start from the beginning of<br />

the arpeggio pattern when you play<br />

the keyboard. If you are performing<br />

together with other instruments,<br />

you can use this function to<br />

ensure that the arpeggio pattern is<br />

aligned with the beginning of the<br />

measure.<br />

OFF ( ):<br />

Sync off (not synchronized).<br />

ON ( ):<br />

Sync on (synchronized).<br />

LAST STEP [1...8]<br />

Specifies the number of valid steps<br />

(maximum number of steps) for the<br />

step arpeggiator.<br />

TARGET TIMBRE<br />

[Both, Timbre 1, Timbre 2]<br />

Selects the timbre(s) that will be<br />

sounded by the arpeggiator. This<br />

can be set only for a Layer program.<br />

Both ( ):<br />

Both timbres will be sounded by the<br />

arpeggiator.<br />

Timbre 1 ( ):<br />

Only timbre 1 will be sounded by<br />

the arpeggiator.<br />

Timbre 2 ( ):<br />

Only timbre 2 will be sounded by<br />

the arpeggiator.<br />
