When machines using Linear Way require high running accuracy and rigidity, prepare two mating reference
mounting surfaces on the bed and one mating reference mounting surface on the table, then perform the
following procedure. (See Fig. 27.)
1Cleaning of mounting surfaces and reference mounting surfaces
Remove burrs and blemishes from
mounting surfaces and reference
mounting surfaces of the machine
using an oil-stone, etc., and then
wipe the surfaces with clean cloth.
(See Fig. 28.)
Remove rust preventive oil and dirt
from Linear Way reference mounting
surfaces and mounting surfaces with
clean cloth.

2Temporary fixing of Linear Wayandtrack rails
Correctly fit the reference mounting
surfaces of Linear Wayand
track rails onto the mating reference
mounting surfaces of the bed, and
temporarily fix the track rails with
mounting bolts. (See Fig. 29.)
