As principal-in-charge, he oversaw the design phase of the design-build delivery of the improvements and expansion, which
included major upgrades to the treatment plants electrical systems, increasing RO feed pump sizes from 75 to 200 HP, and the
addition of a turbine assisted booster pump as an interstage booster pump device. The cost of the required improvements to
meet the nameplate capacity for this facility are $17 million.
Principal-in-charge for the Pinellas County Odor and Corrosion Study. This project consisted of identification and
documentation of concentrations of odors and corrosive substances, in vapor and liquid phases, in the wastewater collection
system. The degree of damage to the infrastructure was observed and documented at various locations in the collection
system. Chemical additives and other odor/corrosion countermeasures were listed and evaluated for application in the included
collection system. Recommendations were provided for monitoring, counteracting, and eliminating odor release and corrosive
damage to the wastewater collection system.
water and wastewater modeling and development of capital improvements programs (CIPs) for the City. The primary goals of
the project were to provide hydraulic modeling analyses to identify bottlenecks and system deficiencies and recommend
improvements to correct these problems, as well as to determine future infrastructure requirements to existing areas with no
Principal-in-charge . Carollo reviewed, updated, and expanded Sarasota County’s previous water supply master plan to provide
a basis for the continuation of sustainable water supply development throughout the County. The project updated water
demand projections, reviewed the inventory of water assets, and identified potential future supplies. A scenario-based
alternatives development approach was used to produce a plan that provided flexibility in light of future uncertainties. Provided
support and background to complete hydraulic modeling scenario analyses, which will be incorporated into the County's
WSMP. Based on the inventory of existing assets and potential future projects, Carollo developed a 10-year CIP to best satisfy
the County’s future water supply needs.
