Dr. MacNevin used the City’s anaerobic digester operating records to estimate feasible methane gas volumes, while also providing recommendations to increase digester gas projection. To finance these projects, Dr. MacNevin worked with the City to prepare an application for grant funds through the Department of Energy’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program. Ultimately, the City of Plantation received a block grant of $804,300.
