Origin and Breeding<br />

Controlled pollination: seed parent ‘TPP1’ x pollen parent ‘TPP3’ in 1996 at Tropical<br />

Primary Products, Humpty Doo, NT. The seed parent is characterised by firm fruit,<br />

yellow orange flesh colour, smaller size and early timing. The pollen parent is not<br />

described but was characterised as ‘unsuitable fruit quality for market needs’. The<br />

seedling fruited in 2002 and the unique and attractive features of the fruits were noted.<br />

Selection took place in Humpty Doo, NT. Selection criteria: quality of fruit.<br />

Propagation: vegetative grafts were found to be uniform and stable. Breeders: Tian<br />

Mok Siah and Siew Yoon Hew, Humpty Doo, NT.<br />
