Origin and Breeding<br />

Controlled pollination: seed parent ‘Kensington Pride’ x pollen parent ‘Maha’ in 1994<br />

at Tropical Primary Products, Humpty Doo, NT. The seed parent is characterised by a<br />

rounder fruit shape with shorter length and broader width. The pollen parent is<br />

characterised by a longer fruit length and later season. The seedling fruited in 2000<br />

and the unique and attractive features of the fruits were noted. Selection took place in<br />

Humpty Doo, NT. Selection criteria: quality of fruit. Propagation: vegetative grafts<br />

were found to be uniform and stable. Breeders: Tian Mok Siah and Siew Yoon Hew,<br />

Humpty Doo, NT.<br />
