OUTFIT FOR GLOBETROTTERS
The weather forecast is simple: it will be hot. The emphasis
is on the word “will”. At dawn on the rooftops over
the city, however, the breeze is still fresh enough to give
you goose pimples.
But that all changes as the sun climbs higher in the sky
and the light and the heat work their way down into the
narrow alleyways. “Something light please!” is the order
of the day, both where clothing and food is concerned. So
we gravitate towards the plentiful fresh fruit available
and discover a typical Moroccan dish, the Tagine.
The ingredients and spices are cooked in a way that
creates a taste explosion in your mouth. Babsi and Jessica
are so thrilled by the experience that we have to dive into
the market once more before leaving to indulge in two
more of these fabulous stews. Before we bid the city farewell,
we soak up all the sensory stimuli of the market’s
hustle and bustle one last time.
