The right footwear is just as important for a good trip as the<br />

right functional apparel. The fit, cushioning, climate comfort<br />

and protection need to be engineered to cope with both the<br />

weather and the terrain. We select the soles, uppers materials<br />

and lasts to suit the specific area of use – from alpine peak bagging<br />

and trekking trips to weekend hiking or endurance sports<br />

such as trail running. When it comes to wet weather protection<br />

we rely on our proprietary waterproof membranes. We use two<br />

different versions with differing breathability ratings, TEXAPORE<br />

or TEXAPORE O 2 +.<br />
