10. Setup Commands<br />

Setup Commands, when executed as part of an Application Source’s command sequence,<br />

establish a pattern of packet switched traffic, involving optional handshaking messages,<br />

and including any number of content messages, between the same source and destination.<br />

<strong>COMNET</strong> <strong>III</strong> produces the fourteen different Setup Commands reports described in the<br />

following paragraphs.<br />

The first column in most of the Setup Commands reports is titled:<br />

ORIGIN/COMMAND NAME: DESTINATION LIST<br />

This column lists the name of the node and the name of the command for each node that<br />

has Setup Commands defined for it and also lists the destination of the Setup command. All<br />

destinations in the destination list of the command are listed. For Random Neighbor<br />

destinations, all nodes connected via one link to the originating node are listed.<br />
