Cooking with Cast Iron<br />

Do you own cast iron cookware and just can't get it seasoned like Mom's? Then<br />

join this informative class on how to properly season and maintain your<br />

Landscape Design<br />

Ages: Adults<br />

Become better educated to make changes in our surroundings so that they will<br />

be more beautiful, useful, convenient, ecologically sound, and easily maintained.<br />

Learn the basic steps in planning a landscape for your home. What should you<br />

emphasize in your design and what should you hide? Learn the history <strong>of</strong><br />

landscape design, the current trends (e.g. bird and butterfly gardens), and the<br />

new technology now available as design tools. This three day workshop is the<br />

first <strong>of</strong> a four-course program that will lead the successful student to certification<br />

as a Consultant to the Landscape Design Council <strong>of</strong> the National Garden Clubs.<br />

Basic Dog Training<br />

This is a 7-week dog training class that starts with the basics and moves into<br />

intermediate dog training. We teach you to train your dog 16 commands including<br />

sit, down, stay, come, walking on a leash without pulling, and more! Besides<br />

learning obedience commands, we will be covering problem behaviors like<br />

jumping, digging, chewing, barking and more. It is common for the dogs in class<br />

to be learning to stay on a 30’ leash with other dogs and people walking past.<br />

Notary Public Seminar<br />

This intensive one-day seminar is designed to prepare you to become a<br />

knowledgeable Notary Public. You will learn the procedures for proper<br />

notarization; information on how to start your Notary career; understanding the<br />

law and how it affects the way you notarize; how to perform 5 different notarial<br />

acts. 5 must-follow rules for every notarization; the essential ID features; 7<br />

entries in your journal that are required by law for every notarization; when to<br />

refuse to notarize; how to pass the test, which must be taken every 4 years;<br />

safekeeping <strong>of</strong> the Notary journal and seal; notarizing out-<strong>of</strong>-state documents.<br />

CPR & First Aid<br />

Ages: 10 Years - Adults<br />

This course provides information on adult, child, and infant CPR, including<br />

recognition and emergency resuscitation techniques for heart attack, stroke and<br />

choking; prevention <strong>of</strong> injuries and cardiac arrest; and use <strong>of</strong> barrier devices. First<br />

Aid will provide information on how to manage illness and injuries in the first few<br />

minutes <strong>of</strong> an emergency until pr<strong>of</strong>essional help arrives. 2-year certification card<br />

received after successful completion <strong>of</strong> each class.<br />
