The City of Temecula, in conjunction with our consultants MIG Inc., has provided a questionnaire for youth between the ages of 12 to 20, and adults to complete. We would like your input on young adult and teen needs in our community. The questionnaire should take no more than 7-10 minutes to complete and a link to the questionnaire is provided on the City’s website at www.cityoftemecula.org. Please be a part of this important process and provide your input. Teen Council Recruitment Ages: 12 - 18 Years We are currently seeking Temecula Teens to become Teen Council members! If you live in Temecula, attend any of the local middle or high schools and are interested in planning activities and programs for the teens of our community, here’s your opportunity! The Council meets twice a month (every 1st & 3rd Thursday of the month) to discuss programs the City offers for teens. For more information please call the CRC at 694-6410. Summer Pool Parties Ages: 12 - 18 Years The Temecula Teen Council would like to invite all Temecula middle school and high school students to come to the CRC pool for a party. There will be a DJ on deck, so grab your friends and your swimsuits and come on down! Don’t forget to bring proof of residency. Find out how to deal with friendship problems, offer someone your seat, be a host with the most (and a guest with the best), deal with rude adults, write a letter, dress properly for any occasion, survive a formal dinner, master the proper techniques for civilized spitting, sneezing, yawning, coughing, hiccuping, nose picking and much more. Many different types of art will be covered. From drawing and sketching to collage and painting. From cartoons and manga to graphic design and photography. Each class is totally different and the projects never repeat. All of the supplies are included in the registration fee and each student will receive an Art Club t-shirt. You can earn community service hours and you do not need to be a council member to participate. Please remember to bring water and be sure to wear attire appropriate for the weather, because we will be out there come rain or shine. We meet at Nakayama Park and work down to Nicolas Road Park. Permission slips can be picked up at the CRC three weeks prior to the event. Teen Excursions Ages: 12 - 18 Years The City of Temecula Community Services Department offers the following Teen Excursions. Registration will be taken on a first come, first served basis before the stated deadline, or until sold out. Mail-in registration will be accepted using the Activity Registration Form and must be mailed with enough time to be received by the stated deadline. No refunds will be issued after the deadline, unless the Community Services Department cancels the excursion. Unless otherwise stated, all excursions depart and return to the CRC. Plan to arrive at the designated departure site 15 minutes early. Excursions may be cancelled if the minimum amount of participants is not reached. Excursion fee includes admission and transportation. Food and spending money is the participants responsibility. Pre-registration is required. Castle Park All Temecula teens are invited to Castle Park. There’s tons of fun to be had, so grab your friends and sign up today. If you want to interact with more than 12,500 animals in the world’s largest ocean aquarium, then this is the activity for you. The entire park includes a concrete skateboard facility, an official size roller hockey arena, picnic facilities, restroom/snack bar, equipment rental and plenty of parking.This one-acre skate park offers the ultimate skateboarding and in-line skating experience. The park consists of a competition 60-foot diameter bowl and ramp entry. A 10-foot wide apron connects the upper bowl with a street plaza skate area. The street plaza boasts a pyramid, fun box, curbs, ramps, stairs and a 20-foot handrail. The park is staffed and open to the public for various sessions per day, 7 days a week. Special beginner sessions are also offered.The facility is lighted for night skating and can accommodate a maximum of 30 skaters at one time. All participants must have a signed waiver form prior to park entry! APPROPRIATE SAFETY GEAR REQUIRED! If you do not have safety gear, you may rent it at the skate park Admission A resident/non-resident card is required. Each card is $1 annually.
