Scope 1 Scope This document gives an overview of the additional features and improvements that are implemented with version 8.51: EMC32-EB (EMI Base Module) EMC32-S (EMS Base Module) EMC32-K1,K2,K3,K4,K6,K7,K8,K10,K11,K21,K22,K33,K51 (Software Extension) AMS32 (OTA Measurement Software) IMS OS Software (Note: depending on the model type .12 or .14) Subject to change Rohde & Schwarz 4
Installation / Update 2 Installation / Update 2.1 Update Procedure Download and expand the Update_EMC32_8V51.zip file (requires password for unzip and is encrypted with WinZip 2.0 method) into a temporary folder on your hard drive. Run the Setup.exe program in order to update your EMC32 / AMS32 installation to V8.51. 2.2 Extensions This version V8.51 of the EMC32 EMC Measurement Software is going to provide the following new features: Support of MS Windows â 7 64-bit operating system For further information please follow the update instructions in the installation guide. 2.3 R&S Driver Installer The R&S Driver Installer is extended with the following functions: o The installer provides two different install modes: one for an initial installation on a new PC and one for the update of the drivers on an existing installation. o The installer could now detect for most of the drivers the currently installed version and marks the driver update only when the currently installed version is older. o After the installation of the NI GPIB driver a PC reboot is requested in order to prepare the VXI file structure for the installation of the VXI drivers.
