16.2 Conducted Power Tests<br />

A new stand-alone utility has been integrated to <strong>AMS32</strong>, allowing to perform conducted<br />

power tests. The main difference to the standard radiated tests is that the communication<br />

tester instruments can be used as measuring devices. This allows evaluating the conducted<br />

power of an DUT via a direct conducted connection without any need for switching and/or<br />

splitters in order to use different instruments for radio link and power measurement.<br />

The new utility is accessed through the new <strong>AMS32</strong> main menu entry<br />

Test >> OTA Conducted:<br />

The measurement can be performed either on an arbitrary radio channel or on the<br />

low/mid/high channels (according to the CTIA standard) of the selected radio band. During<br />

the measurement, a progress window indicates which step is currently being performed,<br />

and lists the measured results:<br />
