16.3 Support for Circular-Polarized Measurement Antennas
Compact RF diagnostic chambers, like e.g. the R&S DST200, may be equipped with a
circularly polarized measurement antenna instead of an antenna with a double-linear
polarization. Such a configuration is now explicitly supported by AMS32. The following
changes have been introduced:
Antenna Driver: A new property Antenna is circularly polarized has been added to
the Properties dialog in the Device List. Check this box if your antenna is of such type.
OTA Hardware Setup: When a circularly polarized antenna is configured as measurement
antenna, a new icon symbolizing this antenna substitutes the standard quadridged
horn icon. The new icon has only one RF connector, all elements connected to
the second connector of the horn will disappear.
