Eleanor was the last of this major Bluet line her date of death is<br />

unknown but is after 1380. <strong>The</strong> Bluet family continued elsewhere of<br />

course, in Ireland, the Marches, Somerset, Devon and Cornwall, but their<br />

long association with the land in Hampshire, Gloucestershire and<br />

Wiltshire was over. Some reminder of them continued, however; <strong>The</strong><br />

Baynard line descending from Edmund and Eleanor retained the Bluet<br />

sigil as part of their arms. A carved shield, thought to have originally<br />

come from the front porch of the old <strong>Lackham</strong> House is to be found on<br />

the west wall of the current house at <strong>Lackham</strong> and shows the combined<br />

Bluet and Baynard arms.<br />
