Small Business Administration 504 – The CDC/504
loan program is a long-term financing tool for economic
development within a community. The program provides
growing businesses with long-term fixed-rate financing for
major fixed assets, such as land and buildings.
Small Business First – Funding for small businesses,
including: low-interest loans for land and building
acquisitions and construction, machinery and equipment
purchases, and working capital.
Specialty Crop Block Grant Program –To increase the
visibility and market share of Pennsylvania’s produce, nursery,
horticulture and nut products; there are federal grants
authorized under the 2008 Farm Bill
State Food Purchase Program – Grants to counties or a
designated lead agency to purchase food to be provided to
the needy. Grants are allocated based on unemployment, food
stamp recipients not on public assistance, legal immigrants,
medical assistance recipients and households with earned
income receiving assistance.
USDA – FSA Direct Loans – Government funded loans
made by FSA. FSA also provides loan customers with
supervision and credit counseling. Farm Ownership,
Operating, Emergency and Youth loans are the main types of
loans available under the Direct program. Funds are also set
aside each year for loans to minority applicants and beginning
farmers.
DEADLINE / REGULATIONS
No dates specified. Any for-profit small
business with a net worth less than $7.5
million and profit after tax less than $2.5
million is eligible. One job to be created or
in some cases retained for every $50k of net
SBA 504 funds in the project within two
years of disbursement.
