Education of Migratory Children – Support programming
through five local operating agencies for services to over
14,000 migrant students in Pennsylvania. Year-round
supplemental programs in coordination with school districts
throughout Pennsylvania.
Other Various Major Federal Programs
Math and Science Partnerships – 100 percent federally
funded competitive program providing assistance to Higher
Education institutions and LEAs for professional development
in math and science.
Reading First – 100 percent federally funded competitive
grant to assist LEAs and schools with the implementation of a
Scientifically Based Reading Program in grades K-3.
Rural and Low Income Schools – 100 percent federally
funded program providing funding to supplement other No
Child Left Behind programs. Funds are made available to rural
LEAs only.
Title I – 100 percent federally funded supplemental
education program that provides financial assistance to local
educational agencies to improve educational opportunities for
educationally deprived children.

Title I, Part D – Delinquent Youth – 100 percent federally
funded program providing supplemental educational services
to children and youth in correctional institutions and
community day programs.
Title II, Part A – Improving Teacher Quality – 100 percent
federally funded supplemental educational program that
provides financial assistance to improve the skills of teachers
and the quality of instruction in core academic subjects in
public and private elementary and secondary schools, and to
hire teachers to reduce class size.
