Emergency Rehabilitation of Flood Control Works or
Federally Authorized Coastal Protection Works (CFDA
No. 12.102) – Funds are available to assist in the repair and
restoration of flood control works damaged by flood, or
federally authorized hurricane flood and shore protection
works damaged by extraordinary wind, wave, or water action.
Owners of damaged flood protective works, or state and local
officials of public entities responsible for their maintenance,
repair, and operation must meet current guidelines to become
eligible for Public Law 84-99 assistance.

FEDERAL PROGRAMS
Navigation Projects (CFDA No. 12.107) - Funds are
available to provide the most practicable and economic means
of fulfilling the needs of general navigation, through projects
not specifically authorized by Congress. Eligible applicants:
states, political subdivisions of states or other responsible
local agencies established under state law with full authority
and ability to undertake necessary legal and financial
responsibilities.
National Security Education Program – The National
Security Education Program (NSEP) is a major federal
initiative designed to build a broader and more qualified
pool of U.S. citizens with foreign language and international
skills. It consists of five initiatives that represent broad
strategic partnerships with the U.S. education community
designed to serve the needs of U.S. national security and
national competitiveness. These initiatives integrate the best
components of language learning and international education
developed in conjunction with progressively minded partners
throughout the U.S. education community. Programs include
David L. Boren Scholarships and Fellowships, the Language
Flagship, English for Heritage Language Speakers, and the
National Language Service Corps.
