Anti-ageing eye makeup<br />
There are a number of surefi re ways to achieve younger<br />
looking eyes using makeup. Lid primer can smooth the<br />
surface of the eyelid <strong>and</strong> assist in the adherence of eye<br />
shadow. This prevents the shadow from accumulating in<br />
skin folds, creating a smoother, more youthful-looking<br />
base. The shade of shadow is key in restoring youthfulness<br />
to the eye area. Opt for a neutral colour – nude, bone or<br />
peach – that’s a couple of shades lighter than your skin<br />
tone. This makes eyes appear more awake, <strong>and</strong> helps the<br />
whites of the eyes st<strong>and</strong> out.<br />
Add some shimmer (not sparkle) to illuminate the eye<br />
area. A dot of light shimmer shadow in the inner corners of<br />
the eyes will create an alert, revitalised look. Eyes should<br />
not be burdened with heavy liner. Make sure to keep the<br />
line as thin as possible when using liner on the upper lid,<br />
<strong>and</strong> any liner on the lower lid should be two shades lighter<br />
than the one used on top. Finally, use a lash lengthening<br />
mascara – with an eyelash curler – to return a youthful<br />
