After reading the crosstab I saw that almost half of all the respondents in every age group fell into
the low political tolerance. I found this very interesting because it showed that no matter what age people
were most people had low political tolerance for other individuals.
When the two variables were compared in the crosstab low tolerance steadily increased as age went up. For
example:
In the first group which is 18-29 11.7% of the people fell under the low tolerance spectrum
In the second group which was 30-49 14.6% of people fell under the low tolerance spectrum
In the third group which was 50-64 15.9% of the people fell under the low tolerance spectrum
And finally the first group which was 65+ 30.2% of the people fell under the low tolerance spectrum
This is similar to most of the results within the crosstab for low and high tolerance levels.
In high tolerance I found a different situation. It seems as if as age went up tolerance levels also went up
until the last group which was 65+ and then the tolerance level dropped below all the other age categories.
Overall the younger age group had over 13% more individuals in their high tolerance level section.
