a. Dependent Variable: tolind Political Tolerance Index
When the regression compared the two variables political tolerance and respondents age there was a
negative change of -.019 which is a weak change and a significance of .078 which is not statically significant.
This shows that the age of someone does not necessarily affect their political tolerance.
When the regression compared respondent’s gender and political tolerance the change was also negative
and very small at a -.145. It also showed up even less statically significant than age with a .176
When the regression compared the respondent’s income and political tolerance it was shown to be statically
significant at a .000 but there was not big change within the income levels.
The most correlation was found between church attendance and political tolerance. I put in attend
church regularly and attend church sometimes and left out attend church never as the control variable? The
biggest positive change was with attending church regularly with a -1.199 and it was statistically significant
with a .000. Attend church sometimes was also statistically significant with a .083 and still a high rate of
change at a -.647.
