4-Way Analyzer
The Four-Way Analyzer measures
the most important aspects of
plant health: light, soil, moisture,
soil pH, and soil fertility. The light
reading determines the light
level where the plant is located.
The moisture portion reads the
moisture level where it counts,
at root level. Soil pH is measured
on a scale of 0-9, and a combined
nitrogen-phosphorous-potash
reading is determined on a “too
little,” “ideal,” and “too much” scale,
based on the U.S. Department of
Agriculture standards.
Sh. wt. 0.31 lbs.
C25384M — $37.50
Kelway Soil Acidity and
Moisture Meter
Test soil in 3 minutes! This tester is designed
so that by the action of the electricity it generates
it will give an accurate pH reading of the
soil on the outside scale of the dial, and will show
moisture content of the soil on the inner scale. The
electrical energy to move the indicator is due to a
potential difference between two electrodes which act
to show pH value. These electrodes are constructed of special
metal plates and alloys which activate each other and in
turn set up an intricate electrical process generating energy that
activates the indicator. Has no batteries to run down or replace. Easy to use, just push
tester vertically into soil to a depth at least covering the metal plates. Read the pH on
the upper scale (3.5, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 pH values). Once pH reading is taken, push moisture
button on side to obtain the moisture reading (0, 50, 70, 100% moisture). Only 6½"
long, weighs 8 oz. Carrying case with belt loop; complete instructions. Six-month
guarantee, fully serviceable. Sh. wt. 0.81 lbs.
Carolina Soil Formation and Properties Kit
This real-world-based activity allows students to explore the earth beneath their feet
through this hands-on investigation of the rock cycle, soil formation, and erosion.
Students learn how rocks are weathered to create soil, analyze soil horizons, determine
the slope of the land, identify soil composition, and calculate bulk density. Exercises
relate each of these properties to human activities and create links to environmental
impacts. Kit contains enough material to lead 24 students through
several field and lab activities. Grades 9-12. Sh. wt. 42 lbs.
