Acrylic Colour Filters

that the colour of a material depends
upon the colour of the light it is capable of reflecting,
and the colour of the light incident upon its
surface. For example, a material which appears to
be red when illuminated by light from the red filter
will appear to be black when illuminated by light

Colour Wheel Kit
What does it mean when you describe a rose as
red or the field around you as green? Help your
students “see the light” with this classic colour
wheel. All the colours of the rainbow are literally
blended together as the wheel is set to spinning. 9"
dia. wheel contains four distant quadrants, each with
violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange, and red
wedges, in that order. A black plastic handle attaches
to the center of the wheel, which can be set to spinning
with an included cord. At rest, the wheel consists
of separate colours. Is this still true when it's in motion?
The colours remain, of course, but the wheel is
turning too fast for your eyes to keep the reflected
