To make <strong>RSView</strong> switch back to the primary data server when the<br />

primary server becomes available, click Switchback to the primary<br />

server when it becomes available.<br />

Setting up advanced properties<br />

In the Advanced tab, set up a cache for tags on the data server. A cache<br />

lets you to view tag names when you are not connected to the data<br />

server.<br />

Include extended information in the server cache file Select this<br />

check box to make available additional information about tags, for<br />

example, their data types, when you are not connected to the data<br />

server.<br />

To create a data server cache<br />

1. In the Advanced tab of the OPC Data Server Properties dialog<br />

box, select the check box, Include extended information in the<br />

server cache file.<br />

2. Click Create Cache and then click OK.<br />

Synchronizing a data server’s cache<br />

If tags are added, modified, or deleted on the data server, you must<br />

synchronize the cache manually.<br />

You can synchronize a data server’s cache only after you have created<br />

one.
