SE Client are also installed on the computer on which FactoryTalk<br />

Diagnostics is installed.<br />

Central logging works by periodically exporting the contents of the<br />

local log file to an ODBC-compliant database. <strong>RSView</strong> supports the<br />

following ODBC-compliant databases: Sybase SQL Server, Oracle,<br />

and Microsoft SQL Server.<br />

If you have set up FactoryTalk Diagnostics to overwrite events in the<br />

local log file, make sure messages are logged to the ODBC-compliant<br />

database before the oldest events are deleted.<br />

ODBC tables, see page C-1.<br />

Setting up message buffering<br />

FactoryTalk Diagnostics messages are stored in the computer’s local<br />

log file, and are exported to the ODBC-compliant database at the<br />

interval you specify.<br />
