The value of sales returns recorded in credit note by selecting:<br />

•Goods Sold Returned for VAT/Tax class - Sales - Exempt was not being captured in box<br />

20 of Form 14.<br />

•Return of Taxable Goods for any sales classifications was not being captured in<br />

Annexure Sales Returns.<br />

These issues have been resolved.<br />

In local sales invoice, the value entered as separately charged expenses by selecting additional<br />

ledger (in which the option - Use for Assessable Value was set to No) was being considered<br />

as part of assessable value and the same was captured in box 2A of CST Form I.<br />

This issue has been resolved.<br />

Enhancements<br />

<br />

Adhering to the Notification, the following new VAT/Tax Classifications have been introduced<br />

effective from September 1, 2011:<br />

•Input VAT @ 20% Special Rate / Purchase @ 20% Special Rate<br />

•Output VAT @ 20% Special Rate / Sales @ 20% Special Rate<br />

•Interstate Purchases @ 20%<br />

•CST @ 20% / Interstate Sales @ 20%<br />

•Input VAT @ 27% Special Rate / Purchase @ 27% Special Rate<br />

•Output VAT @ 27% Special Rate / Sales @ 27% Special Rate<br />

•Input VAT @ 50% Special Rate / Purchase @ 50% Special Rate<br />

•Output VAT @ 50% Special Rate / Sales @ 50% Special Rate<br />

The value of entries made using the aforesaid classifications will be currently captured only in<br />

VAT Computation report.<br />

Note: In the forthcoming <strong>Stat.900</strong> releases, the functionality will be enhanced to capture the<br />

value of entries recorded using VAT/Tax class provided for 20%, 27% and 50% VAT Rates<br />

in VAT Forms.<br />

The value of journal entry recorded by selecting Interest Payable Under Column 33 in<br />

Used for field was being captured in CST Form 1.<br />
