35.7.3 Any member changing his category of membership at any time after<br />
his club’s return of membership has been submitted shall not be<br />
refunded any part of a fee already paid for that year for the original<br />
category of membership.<br />
36 Unauthorised Relations<br />
36.1 Except in events confined to disabled swimmers, a member of the <strong>ASA</strong> may<br />
not compete with a swimmer who is not a member of the <strong>ASA</strong> or the<br />
equivalent under the rules of the Scottish <strong>ASA</strong>, the Welsh <strong>ASA</strong>, or a<br />
federation affiliated to FINA, other than provided for in this Law 36.<br />
36.2 No affiliated club, association, body or organisation shall have any kind of<br />
swimming relationship with a club, association, body or organisation which<br />
is not affiliated to the <strong>ASA</strong>, the Scottish <strong>ASA</strong>, the Welsh <strong>ASA</strong> or a federation<br />
affiliated to FINA, other than one whose membership is confined to disabled<br />
persons and then only relating to events confined to disabled swimmers or<br />
in events or series of events organised under temporary affiliation and/or<br />
temporary memberships granted by the <strong>ASA</strong>.<br />
36.3 No affiliated club, association, body or organisation shall have any kind of<br />
swimming relationship with a club, association, body or organisation which<br />
is suspended by FINA, LEN, the <strong>ASA</strong>, the Scottish <strong>ASA</strong>, the Welsh <strong>ASA</strong>, or a<br />
federation affiliated to FINA.<br />
36.4 Members of the <strong>ASA</strong> taking part in the <strong>ASA</strong> Seniors and Masters T30<br />
Challenge shall be exempted from the provision of Law 36.1.<br />
36.5 Members of associations, bodies or organisations affiliated under<br />
Regulations 52.2 or 55 taking part in competitions confined to the members<br />
of the association, body or organisation, shall be exempted from the<br />
provision of Law 36.1.<br />
36.6 A Region may grant dispensation from <strong>ASA</strong> Law 36.1 where it is satisfied that<br />
the event in question forms part of a bona-fide Swim-Fit programme, subject<br />
to the payment of a special Membership Registration Fee not to exceed<br />
£50.00.<br />
37 Eligibility<br />
37.1 All competitors shall be registered with the <strong>ASA</strong> to be eligible to compete<br />
except as provided by Regulation 321.<br />
37.2 An eligible competitor shall not compete against a person ineligible to<br />
compete, except in events confined to disabled swimmers, events or series<br />
of events organised under temporary affiliation and/or temporary<br />
memberships granted by the <strong>ASA</strong>, life saving competitions approved by the<br />
<strong>ASA</strong> or as otherwise provided by Law 36. Breaches of this Law shall be dealt<br />
with under the Judicial Laws and Regulations.<br />
CONSTITUTIONAL REGULATIONS<br />
51 Accreditation<br />
51.1 All tutors and verifiers of the Association’s educational certificates shall be<br />
accredited by the Association according to any regulations published by the<br />
Association.<br />
51.2 All accredited persons shall consent to be bound whilst engaged in any<br />
swimming related activities by the Code of Ethics, the Regulations relating to<br />
Child Protection and those parts of the Judicial Laws and Regulations<br />
necessary for their implementation and whilst engaged in activities under the<br />
