In the South Pacific He participated In the<br />

campaigns at Tulagl. Guadalcanal. Tarawa.<br />

Salpan and TInlan He was released from<br />

active duty Dec 12. 1945. with the rank of<br />

major and Is now a lieutenant colonel In the<br />

Marine Reserve<br />

Giachetto ls married to the former Ruth<br />

Ann FLsher. daughter of Mr. and Mrs Glen<br />

Fisher of Springfield He has a daughter.<br />
