Appendix 7. While World War II was still raging, in 1943, a block of land on Beach Road towards Cemetery Point was subdivided. This small subdivision anticipated the spread of <strong>Akaroa</strong> around the foreshore south of the town. This spread, which eventually extended as far as Green’s Point, brought the new ‘suburb’ of The Glen into existence.
