Suspension Centre Consultative Group<br />

Purpose: Provide advice to the <strong>Department</strong> on the<br />

operational framework for suspension centres titled<br />

Guidelines for the Establishment <strong>and</strong> Operation <strong>of</strong><br />

Suspension Centres.<br />

Interagency Steering Committee<br />

Purpose: Consult with <strong>and</strong> provide advice to the<br />

human services agencies around the interagency<br />

programs operating in <strong>NSW</strong> government schools.<br />

Special <strong>Education</strong> Advisory Group<br />

Purpose: Oversee the development <strong>and</strong><br />

implementation <strong>of</strong> the Government’s Special <strong>Education</strong><br />

Initiative <strong>2005</strong>-2007.<br />

Regional Equity Committees<br />

Purpose: Provide advice to Regional Directors <strong>and</strong><br />

relevant State equity advisory committees on the<br />

development <strong>of</strong> a Regional Equity Plan <strong>and</strong> to monitor<br />

its implementation.<br />

Families <strong>and</strong> Communities Cluster<br />

Purpose: An interagency group established under the<br />

Two Ways Together process to develop <strong>and</strong> implement<br />

a 10-year action plan to improve outcomes in<br />

Aboriginal health, education <strong>and</strong> housing <strong>and</strong> provide<br />

support to Aboriginal families <strong>and</strong> communities with<br />

strategies focused on children <strong>and</strong> young people.<br />

Aboriginal Early Years Working Group<br />

Purpose: A subgroup <strong>of</strong> the Families <strong>and</strong> Communities<br />

Cluster which implements the early childhood actions<br />

in the Families <strong>and</strong> Communities Cluster Action Plan,<br />

achieves agreed early childhood targets <strong>and</strong> measures<br />

outcomes against agreed indicators.<br />

The TAFE <strong>NSW</strong> Aboriginal <strong>Education</strong> Review<br />

Implementation Working Party<br />

Purpose: Develop a strategic plan for the<br />

implementation <strong>of</strong> the recommendations <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Aboriginal <strong>Education</strong> Review in TAFE <strong>NSW</strong> .<br />

Contribute to the development <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Department</strong>’s<br />

Aboriginal <strong>Education</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Training</strong> Action Plan.<br />

Monitor <strong>and</strong> advise on progress in TAFE <strong>NSW</strong> in<br />
