David A. Kiefer, CFA, is a Managing Director of Jennison, which he joined in September 2000. Mr. Kiefer has been managing large<br />

cap diversified assets since 1999 and the Large Cap Blend Equity strategy since 2000. Additionally, he became head of Large Cap<br />

<strong>Value</strong> Equity and began co-managing the Large Cap <strong>Value</strong> Equity strategy in 2004 and the Natural Resources Equity strategy in<br />

2005. He managed the <strong>Prudential</strong> Jennison Utility Fund, from 1994 to mid-2005. He joined <strong>Prudential</strong>’s management training<br />

program in 1986. From 1988 to 1990, Mr. Kiefer worked at <strong>Prudential</strong> Power Funding Associates, making loans to the utility and<br />

power industry. He then left to attend business school, rejoining <strong>Prudential</strong> in equity asset management in 1992. Mr. Kiefer earned<br />

a BS from Princeton University and a MBA from Harvard Business School.<br />

Avi Z. Berg, is a Managing Director of Jennison, which he joined in January 2001. Prior to that, he was with Goldman Sachs Asset<br />

Management from 1997 to 2000 as an Equity Research Associate for their small and mid cap value funds. From 1996 to 1997,<br />

Mr. Berg worked in equity research at Fir Tree Partners. From 1991 to 1995, he was a consultant with Price Waterhouse LLP.<br />

Mr. Berg received his AB in economics, magna cum laude, from Harvard University and his MBA in finance and accounting with<br />

honors and distinctions from Columbia Business School.<br />

The portfolio managers for the <strong>Portfolio</strong> are supported by other Jennison portfolio managers, research analysts and investment<br />

professionals. Jennison typically follows a team approach in providing such support to the portfolio managers. The teams are<br />

generally organized along product strategies (e.g., large cap growth, large cap value) and meet regularly to review the portfolio<br />

holdings and discuss security purchase and sales activity of all accounts in the particular product strategy. Team members provide<br />

research support, make securities recommendations and support the portfolio managers in all activities. Members of the team may<br />

change from time to time.<br />

<strong>AST</strong> JPMorgan International Equity <strong>Portfolio</strong><br />

The portfolio manager responsible for the day-to-day management of the <strong>Portfolio</strong> is James WT Fisher. Mr. Fisher, a Managing<br />

Director of J.P. Morgan, is a portfolio manager in the Global <strong>Portfolio</strong> Group Equities Team based in London. He became an<br />

employee of Robert Fleming in 1985.<br />

<strong>AST</strong> JPMorgan Strategic Opportunities <strong>Portfolio</strong><br />

Patrik Jakobson, managing director, is a portfolio manager with JP Morgan’s Global Multi-Asset Group (GMAG). He is a member<br />

of the Global Strategy Team that is responsible for managing the group’s tactical allocation investment process and global portfolio<br />

strategy. An employee since 1987, Patrik has served as a portfolio manager for the firm’s global asset allocation and balanced<br />

portfolios since 1995 and has worked extensively with institutional clients on strategic asset allocation issues. He previously<br />

managed equity portfolios and worked as a research analyst specializing in the retailing industry in corporate finance. Patrik<br />

earned a BA in economics from Harvard University and an MBA in finance from the Wharton School of Business.<br />

Neill Nuttall joined JPMorgan in 1984. Neill is CIO and head of the GMAG, with particular responsibility for Global Tactical Asset<br />

Allocation, Total Return and Convertible Bond portfolios. Prior to joining GMAG he worked for Jardine Fleming in Hong Kong as<br />

head of currency, Asian fixed income and convertible bond management, and more recently as a qualitative portfolio manager in<br />

the Currency Group in London. Previously, he worked for Standard Chartered Bank in Hong Kong and Thailand.<br />

Nicole Fazio, CFA, vice president, is a portfolio manager in the Global Multi-Asset Group (GMAG) based in New York. An<br />

employee since 2003, she is responsible for manager research and portfolio construction. Nicole also focuses on portfolio<br />

management and implementation of tactical asset allocation strategy across GMAG’s accounts, as well as strategic asset<br />

allocation. Previously, she was a junior client portfolio manager within the group, helping to support the global asset allocation<br />

and balanced portfolios. Nicole holds a BS in Finance from Boston College and is a CFA charterholder<br />

<strong>AST</strong> Large-Cap <strong>Value</strong> <strong>Portfolio</strong><br />

Hotchkis and Wiley Segment. Hotchkis and Wiley manages institutional separate accounts and is the advisor and sub-advisor to<br />

mutual funds, including the <strong>Portfolio</strong>. The investment process employed is the same for similar accounts, including the <strong>Portfolio</strong><br />

and is team-based utilizing primarily in-house, fundamental research. The investment research staff is organized by industry and<br />

sector and supports all of the accounts managed in each of the Hotchkis and Wiley investment strategies. <strong>Portfolio</strong> coordinators<br />

for each strategy ensure that the best thinking of the investment team is reflected in the “target portfolios”. Investment ideas for the<br />

<strong>Portfolio</strong> are generated by Hotchkis’ investment team. Hotchkis and Wiley has identified the portfolio managers with the most<br />

significant responsibility for the <strong>Portfolio</strong>. The list does not include all members of the investment team.<br />

George Davis, Judd Peters, Scott McBride, Patricia McKenna and Sheldon Lieberman participate in the investment research review<br />

and decision-making process for the <strong>Portfolio</strong>. Mr. McBride, Mr. Peters and Mr. Davis coordinate the day to day management of<br />

the <strong>Portfolio</strong>. Mr. Davis, Principal, <strong>Portfolio</strong> Manager and Chief Executive Officer, joined Hotchkis’ investment team in 1988.<br />
