areas, including the arts, sciences, education, business
and industry, and whose work is of lasting value and
importance, remaining one of the most cherished
aspects of a cultural heritage that our entire State and
Nation celebrates, as the spirit of Italian genius is a
wonderful and timeless gift that is certain to endure
throughout the centuries;
Now, Therefore, I, David A. Paterson,
Governor of the State of New York, do hereby
proclaim October 2010 as
Italian Heritage and
in the Empire State.
