Sebastian Rotella, Foreign Correspondent Reflects on<br />
His Journalistic Work & Career<br />

Sebastian Rotella, award winning <strong>for</strong>eign correspondent<br />
<strong>for</strong>merly with <strong>the</strong> Los Angeles Times and currently based<br />
in Washington, DC, as a senior reporter <strong>for</strong> ProPublica<br />
will talk about his frequent coverage <strong>of</strong> Italy (e.g.<br />
terrorism, organized crime, and migration) while he was<br />
<strong>the</strong> Paris bureau chief <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> LA Times and share his<br />
experience interviewing Italian authors Andrea Camilleri<br />
and Roberto Saviano (a combination <strong>of</strong> hard news and<br />
cultural topics.) As this event is <strong>of</strong>fered in collaboration<br />
with The School <strong>of</strong> Journalism, Mr. Rotella is looking<br />
<strong>for</strong>ward to an opportunity to dialogue with students<br />
and have his talk extend to topics that are <strong>of</strong> special<br />
interest to <strong>the</strong>m. The public is invited to attend this class<br />
