The Italian Heritage and Culture Month has been<br />
celebrated <strong>for</strong> more than a quarter century with<br />
special events, exhibits, lectures and proclamations<br />
to commemorate Italy’s history and culture; and<br />
Whereas:The 34 th Italian Heritage and<br />
Culture Month is being celebrated citywide<br />
in honor <strong>of</strong> Dr. Maria Montessori: An<br />
Internationally Renowned Educator and<br />
Physician; and<br />
Whereas:I extend my gratitude and<br />
appreciation to <strong>the</strong> Italian Heritage and Culture<br />
Committee <strong>of</strong> New York, Inc. and its dedicated<br />
members <strong>for</strong> keeping alive <strong>the</strong> legacy <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Italian<br />
culture.<br />
Now, <strong>the</strong>re<strong>for</strong>e, I, Ruben Diaz Jr.,<br />
President <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Borough <strong>of</strong> The Bronx, pay<br />
