Theater Storymakers Students will explore literary constructs, such as plot, conflict, setting and climax as they write stories, which will eventually be put into scripts and performed. Includes juggling, gymnastics, clowning, comedy, poispinning, hula-hooping and simple aerial skills. Movement and staging are also taught, while children learn to safely twist, turn, jump, skip, roll, and tumble with proper control. Students present a showcase in the final class. c. 1968 — Skokie Historical Society Magic Class Children will learn magic that will amaze family and friends, including tricks that feature cards, ropes, coins, mind-reading, and more. All materials provided. Sign up for this class again and again, as brand new tricks are taught each session! Instructor: Magic Team of Gary Kantor. March, 2013 The cast of the Devonshire Playhouse Teen show, “Fame,” and the Academy of Comedy Winter class will take part in a master workshop and see the performance of: “Stones in His Pockets” In this play a couple of small town Irishmen hope to hit it big when hired as extras for an epic American movie filming in their scenic County Kerry village. This is a treat for thespians as they will see two actors playing 17 different roles! May, 2013 The cast of the Devonshire Playhouse Show, “9-5,” will take part in a master workshop and see the performance of: “Stella and Lou.” This world premiere, focuses on a quiet night at Lou’s bar, where two kindred spirits seek solace as they navigate changing times and relationships past.
