New teams will be selected on a first come-first serve basis, with resident priority. New team application forms and rosters are required to be completed in order to be considered. (Find forms at athletic-leagues.skokieparks.org.) All team managers are expected to obtain copies of league rule books and sign the “Statement of Agreement and Understanding” at the back of the rule book. These must be submitted to the athletics office no later than one week prior to the start of your league. It is each team manager’s responsibility to ensure his or her team’s knowledge of the rule book. Rule books can be obtained at the athletics office at Weber or by sending an e-mail to rdeleonardis@skokieparks.org. Please provide your name, your team name, a daytime phone number and a complete mailing address. Rosters and Fees All rosters must be turned in by the first date of competition. Rosters become final after the fourth week of the season. The Skokie Park District is not responsible for collecting a team’s sponsorship money. Hot Shots Sports is an organization that is devoted solely to youth athletics education and programming. Hot Shots programs stress the pure enjoyment of being involved in sports while developing skills in an environment where everyone plays and the focus is on participation and education, not just results. Hot Shots Sports, founded in 1994, is currently serving more than 2,000 children throughout greater Chicago. Hot Shots Sports Steve Duman, Director of Hot Shots Sports, has spent more than a decade developing youth sports instructional programs. Hot Shots Sports began in New York City and was built on Steve’s experience as a basketball, baseball and softball coach at both the middle school and high school levels. Hot Shots Sports has maintained operations in Chicago since 1999. Mini Sports Little athletes will be introduced to a variety of team sports, building physical, intellectual and emotional skills that will help them be successful on and off the court.
