Rentals<br />
Rentals & Policies<br />
Picnic Area Reservations<br />
<strong>Park</strong> picnic areas available for rental include those at Central, Devonshire,<br />
Hamlin, Laramie, Lorel, Lockwood, Lyons, Oakton, Schack, and Terminal <strong>Park</strong>s.<br />
Reservations may be made on a “first-come-first serve” basis, with applications<br />
submitted beginning on March 1 for the current year (April 1 through September<br />
30). Please make your request early in order to assure your preferred date and<br />
location. No reservations will be taken over the phone. Picnic area availability may<br />
be checked by calling (847) 674-1500, but available dates cannot be guaranteed<br />
until a “Special <strong>Park</strong> Usage Application” has been submitted and approved. Usage<br />
Applications may be filled out at the Weber, Oakton or Devonshire front desks.<br />
Security deposits are $100 and must be submitted with the Usage Application.<br />
The application approval process takes at least one week. Resident picnic area<br />
fees are $35 for five-hour blocks on weekdays and $50 for five-hour blocks on<br />
weekend days & holidays (Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day). Non-residents<br />
fees are $70 for five-hour blocks on weekdays and $100 for five-hour blocks on<br />
weekend days & holidays (Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day). All above fees<br />
are doubled for 11 hour blocks and then discounted by $15. Proof of residency is<br />
required to receive resident rates.<br />
Athletic Field Reservations<br />
Baseball, Softball, Soccer fields and our Cricket Practice Pitch can be reserved for<br />
group rentals. Please make your request early in order to assure your preferred<br />
date and location. The athletic field application approval process takes at least<br />

Americans with Disabilities Act<br />
The <strong>Skokie</strong> <strong>Park</strong> <strong>District</strong> welcomes the participation of all individuals in<br />
our programs, including those with disabilities. We are fully committed to<br />
complying with the ADA and providing reasonable accommodations to facilitate<br />
participation in our programs. The sooner we know about your special situation,<br />
the more time we have to make reasonable accommodations to improve you or<br />
your child’s recreational experience with us. It is the responsibility of participants<br />
or their parents/guardians to contact Michelle Tuft, Superintendent of Recreation,<br />
to make arrangements for any accommodation at the time of registration (no<br />
later than two weeks prior to the start of the program). Notification received<br />
less than two weeks prior to the start of the program may result in delayed<br />

Participant Behavior Code of Conduct<br />
The following behavioral code of conduct will be used as a guideline for <strong>Skokie</strong><br />
<strong>Park</strong> <strong>District</strong> program participants. Participants will:<br />
1. Show respect to all other participants, staff, and volunteers.<br />
2. Follow direction from staff and volunteers.<br />
3. Show respect to equipment, supplies, and facilities.<br />
4. Not use inappropriate, abusive, or foul language.<br />
5. Not show any aggressive behavior (hitting, punching, slapping, kicking, biting,<br />
etc.) regardless if the behavior is initiated or in retaliation.<br />
6. Not show continuous disruptive behavior.<br />
7. Obey all <strong>Skokie</strong> <strong>Park</strong> <strong>District</strong> rules and regulations.<br />
No Smoking in the <strong>Skokie</strong> <strong>Park</strong> <strong>District</strong><br />
In accordance with Illinois State Law and according to the <strong>Skokie</strong> <strong>Park</strong> <strong>District</strong><br />
Usage Ordinance, Section C.26, smoking is not allowed in all <strong>Park</strong> <strong>District</strong> buildings,<br />
restrooms, and enclosed or partially enclosed sports arenas. Additionally, smoking is<br />
prohibited within 15 feet of all entrances, exits, windows that open, and ventilation<br />
intakes that serve these areas. Smoking is also prohibited within 50 feet of all parks,<br />
playgrounds, or other non-enclosed <strong>Park</strong> <strong>District</strong> facilities when organized children’s<br />
activities or organized special events are present. Any person who violates any<br />
provision of the ordinance’s Section C.26 shall be fined an amount that is not less<br />
than $100 and not more than $250. Each day a violation occurs will be considered a<br />
separate violation.<br />
Public Notification Pesticide & Fertilizer Applications<br />
The <strong>Skokie</strong> <strong>Park</strong> <strong>District</strong> will be making pesticide and fertilizer applications in<br />
various parks throughout the <strong>District</strong> including the Weber <strong>Park</strong> Golf Course.<br />
These applications are necessary to maintain the health and vigor of desirable<br />
plants and retain the aesthetic quality of our parks. Each park will be posted<br />
with signs in the specified application areas. Signs will<br />
be posted just prior to application and will<br />
remain until the following day. All<br />
procedures concerning notification<br />
and application of chemicals for the<br />
treatment of turf grass or plants shall<br />
conform to the guidelines outlined in the<br />
<strong>Skokie</strong> <strong>Park</strong> <strong>District</strong>’s pesticide policy as well as<br />

Obtaining <strong>Program</strong> <strong>Guide</strong>s<br />
As a community service, <strong>Skokie</strong> <strong>Park</strong> <strong>District</strong><br />
program guides are delivered by the U.S. Postal<br />
Service via bulk mail to all <strong>District</strong> residences.<br />
Because the <strong>Skokie</strong> <strong>Park</strong> <strong>District</strong> is not responsible<br />
for undelivered mail, program guides are also made<br />
available online and at all <strong>Park</strong> <strong>District</strong> facilities one<br />
week prior to registration dates.<br />
Photo Policy<br />
Participants in <strong>Skokie</strong> <strong>Park</strong> <strong>District</strong> programs and<br />
special events consent to the taking of photos and<br />
videos of themselves and their children for use in<br />
all <strong>Park</strong> <strong>District</strong> marketing materials. All photos and<br />
videos taken on <strong>Park</strong> <strong>District</strong> property are for <strong>Park</strong><br />
<strong>District</strong> use only and become its sole property.<br />
