Early Childhood Nature Programs Nature Fun & Frolic Enjoy spending time in the natural world while in the company of other parents and two-year olds. You’ll learn first-hand how to nurture your child’s inborn sense of wonder and curiosity in the outdoors and have fun yourself while singing songs, playing in the woodland, meeting animal puppets, and creating age-appropriate crafts. A major portion of this popular class will be spent outside, weather permitting. Activities are designed to help both you and your child use your senses to explore the fascinating world of nature. Pretend to be butterflies sniffing spring flowers, make your own “Small Thing Finder,” learn what “soft-steppers” are, and follow animal footprints. Activities change seasonally. Join us for songs about animals and the outdoors, and make simple instruments to take home. Music and motion activities include finger plays, marching and dancing, the use of streamers and parachutes, clapping to keep the beat, and singing along. Tot Learning Center 3701 Howard , Skokie IL 60076 Tot Learning Center is the Skokie Park District’s state-of-the-art, yearround, full day childcare facility serving infants through five-year-old children. TLC is now accepting registrations for the 2012-13 year. Nationally-accredited educational childcare for Skokie Open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tot Learning Center is a licensed and nationally accredited full-day childcare program for infants through five-year-old children. The program offers a secure childcare wing, spacious classrooms, an indoor playroom, a multi-purpose room for family events, a private parent-teacher conference room, fenced in playgrounds, meals and snacks, field trips, and much more. Children can be enrolled two to five days per week, 50 weeks per year. The center also offers enrichment classes. TLC children are encouraged to learn new skills, develop friendships and gain self-esteem and confidence. Our developmentally-appropriate curriculum revolves around creation, recreation, exploration and self-expression. Our specially-trained staff is comprised of degreed, early childhood teachers and experienced assistants. Tot Learning Center is licensed by the Illinois Department of Children & Family Services and is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. TLC Registration We accept children on a full-time or part-time basis, two, three, or four days a week.
