Devonshire Preschool
The 2013-14 school year will begin September 3rd . Operating 35 weeks between September and May,
our Preschool program is located at the Devonshire Cultural Center. Our spacious state-of-the art
classrooms are designed specifically for young children. Various class times and days conveniently meet
the needs of your preschooler.
Devonshire Preschool is committed to the belief that each child is special and unique. In this spirit, we
have designed a developmentally appropriate curriculum that fosters each child’s social, emotional,
language, physical and intellectual growth. Teachers with degrees in early childhood education plan
activities around a weekly theme. Field trips and special events are included in the program. Devonshire
Preschool is licensed by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services and follows a calendar
similar to the area public schools, including a two-week winter break, one-week spring break and other
public holiday closings.
Devonshire Preschool registration is conducted via a lottery system. Registration packets may be
picked up on or after February 16th. The application must be returned to Devonshire Cultural Center
before March 14th to be included in the random computerized lottery. Open registration for non- residents begins March 25, 2013. A non-refundable
$60 application fee is required at the time of registration. Tuition is paid over a nine-month period beginning in September. Skokie residents have priority

In addition to our many classes, we now offer full day preschool for 4 year olds. Fees include hot lunch daily.
