Social Responsibility Report, establishing the main<br />

guidelines and sustainability recommendations for<br />

� Public Agencies Transparency Royal Decree,<br />

2009 approved by the Spanish government. All<br />

Spanish public agencies are obliged to publish their<br />

annual balance sheets, the composition of their<br />

governing bodies and their ethics or good practice<br />

� Draft Sustainable Economy Law, 2009<br />

(Anteproyecto de Ley de Economía Sostenible).<br />

Pursuant to article 36 public enterprises will have<br />

to adjust their strategic plans within one year of the<br />

law being enforced in order to submit annual reports<br />

on corporate governance and sustainability reports<br />

in accordance with commonly accepted standards.<br />

Furthermore, it is suggested that the government<br />

will make available a set of characteristics and<br />

indicators for self-evaluation in social responsibility,<br />

in accordance with international standards (article 40<br />

of the draft law).<br />
