at the junction with Leigh Lane and North Leigh Lane
and the proposed site access.
It is our opinion that the various authorities who
consider planning issues should not make matters of
highway safety worse than the situation which
currently exists.
Clearly approval to the application would in our
opinion do just that with the proposed access to the
site in Leigh Lane being too close to the junction with
North Leigh Lane.
We therefore ask that on grounds of highway safety
Dorset County Council record an objection to the
Our visit to the planning office on 21.3.13 where we
viewed the plans and discussed the proposal with a
planning officer.
Objection 1: Effects on traffic, road access, visibility,
parking, turning and safety.
2: Impact on adjoining properties: overshadowing,
privacy and loss of daylight.
3: Loss of amenity.
4: Other issues: The boundary fence between
Lingmell and our property is in extremely poor
condition due to the wet ground. Also, many
established trees and shrubs between the properties
will have to be removed.
Loss of view.
Proposed property is far too big for the plot.
We would also like you to additionally consider the
added dangers involved through lorries, contractors'
vehicles and suppliers dropping off materials during
the build period.
Also, we have noticed there are two planning
