signs throughout the conference venues provide
daily schedules and conference maps.
Coat and Bag Drop
For your convenience, you may leave your coats
and baggage at the Coat and Bag Drop located
in Hall 8, Lower Level.
Opening times are the same as registration.
Internet stations
Internet Stations are located in the registration
area, Hall 8, Lower Level. These may be used to
check email/daily schedule, fill out conference
surveys or for onsite registration.
Food and Beverage
Hot lunches are available in Hall 7 and Grab & Go
lunches are available throughout the venue.

There is no pocket guide being offered this year.

Policies
Access
Please wear your VMworld 2012 Europe
conference badge at all times so that you can
be readily identified as a VMworld 2012 Europe
attendee. Registered Full Conference attendees
may attend conference functions, sessions and
meetings. Registered guests may attend the
VMworld Welcome Reception and VMworld
Party, along with VMworld full conference
attendees. Conference badges, which consists
of a badge and badge holder must be worn for
access to the Party. Please do not remove the
badge from the badge holder as you will not be
allowed access to the party unless you present
your full conference badge.
If you lose your badge, please visit the
Registration desk and present your official
photo identification (i.e. driving license,
passport, citizenship card). There is a Euro 50
badge reprint fee for all attendees and badges
are not transferable. This fee excludes Spanish
VAT at 10%.
Cell Phones
Cell phones should be silenced or turned off
during all sessions and labs out of consideration
for speakers and fellow attendees.
Lost and Found
Lost and found items will be handled by VMworld
2012 staff at the Information desks throughout
the venue.
Smoking
The Fira Gran Via is a non-smoking building.
There are designated smoking areas located
off the 8 Upper Level Foyer, or outside the
registration area in hall 8 Lower Level.
Special Assistance
If you need special assistance, please visit the
registration area in Hall 8 Lower Level and
VMworld staff will endeavour to help you.

Redemption
Attendees who qualify for a €25 gift certificate
to the VMware Company store will receive their
award at registration.

Transportation
A shuttle service is offered to attendees from
the airport to VMworld 2012 and from the
Europa Fira Metro station to VMworld 2012.
Look out for the VMworld 2012 sign on arrival.
There is no shuttle service offered from hotels.

Metro Passes
During the conference, you are encouraged to
use the Metro to get to and from Fira Barcelona
Gran Via. Visit the Information Desk in Hall 8,
Lower Level or the Quantum booth in Solutions
Exchange, Stand S402 to pick one up.

Surveys
Throughout the event, attendees will receive a
session survey for each of the General Sessions
and Breakout Sessions they attend. Attendees
who complete the survey within one hour after
each session will be entered into a draw for a
gift from the VMware company store. Session
surveys are available on the VMworld mobile
application and internet stations. Winners will
be notified by email and will pick up their gift
at the VMware company store.
Shortly after the event, attendees will receive
an email invitation to complete the VMworld
2012 overall conference survey. Attendees who
complete this survey will be entered into a draw
to win one of three complimentary VMworld
2013 conference passes.
Wireless Access/WiFi
Complimentary wireless access is available to
all conference attendees in specific areas.
Look for “VMworld2012” in your list of available
wireless networks. The wireless network supports
802.11 a / b / g protocols and there is no WEP key.
Once you connect to the network, just launch your
Internet browser and click “Accept” to gain access.

Support at the information desk in the registration
area, Hall 8, Lower Level.
