Affiliate students should consult with their University College for more specific details
fee, contact the Dean’s Office of your faculty
before September 30 of the current academic
year. If you still owed tuition by the end of
November, your opt out fee would be deducted
from your tuition. If not, an email would be sent
to you telling you to pick up a cheque sometime
around the end of November.
At the end of February, Advancement
Services will issue an official income tax
receipt to students who paid the donation
in full. Students can use this receipt to claim
a credit on their income tax returns. For
further information, contact the appropriate
Dean’s Office or Advancement Services or visit
your faculty website (see Important Contacts
section in this guide).

T2202A slip
All T2202As for the years from 2000
onwards are available at student.uwo.ca
for students to view and print. T2202As for
2010 will be available by February 28, 2011.
Students will require their student ID number
and Acces Code (formerly PIN), or UWO email
and password to access the information.
T4A Slips
All T4As are mailed to the most recent
address on file with the Office of the Registrar
in February for the previous calendar year. All
recipients of OGS/OGSST, NSERC and SSHRC
that is paid monthly (i.e. Graduate students)
can contact Human Resources 519-661-2194
for their T4A form. The Office of the Registrar
does NOT issue these. Graduate students
who receive NSERC, IPS payments or other
scholarships through the School of Graduate
and Postdoctoral Studies will receive their T4A
forms by mail.
Textbook and
Technology Grant
ontario.ca/OSAP
The Textbook and Technology Grant helps
students pay for textbooks and computer
costs. The grant is $150 per academic year for
full-time students qualifying for OSAP who
are attending a provincially funded college or
university in Canada.
Full-time students receiving OSAP do not
need to apply for the grant. They will receive
a grant cheque by mail to the address on their
OSAP application.

Deadlines
For September, the deadline for first year
students is August 3. The deadline for upper
year students is August 16. The second
installment is due January 3. For Summer, the
deadline is May 16, 2011.

click on Detailed Statement of Account. Payment
can be made through Internet banking through
major Canadian banks, or by cheque or money
order payable to the University of Western
Ontario. If you are arranging payment from

Paying with OSAP
If you wish to pay your tuition fees with your
OSAP loan you must apply for OSAP by June
30. If your OSAP entitlement is not sufficient
to cover your first installment of tuition fees,
you are responsible for paying your difference
by the due date. If you pay in two installments
(September and January) with your OSAP you
will be charged the $54.00 deferment charge.
Note: OSAP loans are issued in 2 installments,
60% in September and the remainder in January.
Paying Your Tuition and Fees
Students should check their account balance
online through student.uwo.ca. A PIN and
student number is needed to access this site. A
hard copy of your fee bill will not be mailed.
Tuition fees for 2011/12 first-year students are
due August 3, 2011. They are due August 16 for
all upper year students. You must check your
account balance online.
I made a payment @ the bank or online & it
isn’t showing…
Wait two weeks from the time you made
your payment. If it has been longer than two
weeks, go back to your bank and trace your
funds. Keep checking student.uwo.ca to see
if your fees are posted.
Fee Deferment
Students using OSAP to pay their tuition
fees and who have an assessment that covers
the first installment fully, will be granted
an automatic fee deferral until the loans are
available in September. The second installment
of tuition will be due in January. Students
receiving OSAP funding may wish to pay
in two installments. Information about fee
deferment will be available on the fee bill.
Students can avoid the deferment fee if full
tuition is paid by September 30.
Avoiding Additional Charges
Avoid late charges by paying the full amount
of tuition by the deadline date. Be sure to contact
Student Financial Services if you have any
questions about fee payment.
How to Make a Tuition Fee Payment
Payments for tuition fees can be made via
internet banking through any Canadian bank.
Your student number is your account number
for internet payments. Be sure to pay in advance
of the due date to ensure payment is received
on time/by the deadline. Students can pay in
person at Student Central located in the Western
Student Services Building with cheque or debit.
Wire transfers for students out of country can
be made. Please visit our Fees area for more
information at: www.registrar.uwo.ca/studentfinances/fees-refunds/payment-information.
Scholarship Payment
First-year scholarships are not confirmed
until after first-year fees are due. Students
in scholarship contention should pay the
full amount of their tuition fees or their first
installment to avoid late payment charges. When
the scholarship is confirmed, it will be applied
to your tuition account by September 30. If this
results in a credit on your account, a cheque will
be issued at the end of October.
