<strong>Western</strong> Serves is a one-day community<br />
service learning program <strong>of</strong>fered by The<br />
Student Success Centre designed to increase<br />
participants’ social awareness and knowledge<br />
<strong>of</strong> volunteer opportunities in the London<br />
community. Students, faculty and staff<br />
participate together in meaningful service<br />
experiences at a variety <strong>of</strong> community<br />
agencies, including the Boys & Girls<br />
Club and ReForest London. <strong>Western</strong><br />
Serves takes place annually on the<br />
3rd Saturday in September.<br />

The Student Success Centre<br />
designed <strong>Western</strong>’s Volunteer Program<br />
(WVP) to provide <strong>Western</strong> <strong>student</strong>s with<br />
practical experience and the opportunity<br />
to enhance their civic responsibility while<br />
addressing campus community needs.<br />
Through WVP, <strong>student</strong>s are given the<br />
opportunity to work on a volunteer basis<br />
under the guidance <strong>of</strong> a supervisor from<br />
<strong>Western</strong> or an affiliated institution. These<br />
supervisors include faculty and staff who are<br />
willing to mentor committed <strong>Western</strong> <strong>student</strong>s<br />
throughout the year for 3-10 hours a week.<br />
