Presently, there are five chaplains appointed<br />

to the <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Western</strong> <strong>Ontario</strong> from<br />

various Christian Traditions within the<br />

association. We are also able to provide<br />

immediate contacts for Muslim, and Jewish<br />

<strong>student</strong>s. For those <strong>student</strong>s who are not a<br />

part <strong>of</strong> any <strong>of</strong> these traditions, we work to<br />

provide them with access to spiritual leaders and<br />

resources within their own tradition.<br />

The USC Food Support Service is a<br />

completely anonymous food hamper distribution<br />

system. Food hampers can be requested through<br />

email and collected 24 hours a day.<br />

To obtain a food hamper, <strong>student</strong>s can email<br />

usc.food.support@uwo.ca with a request. No<br />

identification or other information is required.<br />

Any special requests (such as baby food or dairy<br />

free items) can be made at this time.<br />

The <strong>student</strong> will receive an email from<br />

the USC Food Support Service coordinators<br />

within 48 hours with the location and<br />

combination <strong>of</strong> a locker within the UCC (if<br />

special requests are made, it may take up to a<br />

week to prepare a special hamper). Students<br />

may also obtain hampers in person at the<br />

<strong>University</strong> Student’s Council <strong>of</strong>fice (UCC<br />

Room 340) during business hours.<br />

out issues, family matters, isolation, dealing<br />

with queer phobia on campus, and many<br />

The <strong>of</strong>fice <strong>of</strong> the Ombudsperson acts<br />

a liaison between the <strong>University</strong> and<br />

its Students. The Ombudsperson is a<br />

confidential, free and impartial <strong>of</strong>fice<br />

designed for dealing with academic concerns<br />

such as unfair grading, appealing accusations<br />

<strong>of</strong> academic dishonesty, as well as <strong>University</strong><br />

recommended withdrawals and readmissions.<br />
