equipments.<br />

Ans:- NOT APPLICABLE, As the affiliation system is not followed by the<br />

University.<br />

1.4.8 What were the <strong>in</strong>itiatives to restructure the UG courses to make them socially<br />

relevant and / or job oriented?<br />

Ans:- The element of social relevance is paid special attention at the time of<br />

restructur<strong>in</strong>g. The UG courses have been restructured and modified<br />

accord<strong>in</strong>g to the 4 th Deans Committee Meet<strong>in</strong>g recommendations to keep<br />

them at par with other Universities. The other courses are also updated<br />

accord<strong>in</strong>g to the need and requirement of the <strong>in</strong>dustries to make them job<br />

oriented.<br />

1.5 Best Practices <strong>in</strong> Curricular Aspects<br />

1.5.1 What are the quality sustenance and quality enhancement measures<br />

undertaken by the <strong>in</strong>stitution dur<strong>in</strong>g the last five years <strong>in</strong> curricular aspects with<br />

reference to curricular design and development / academic flexibility / feedback<br />

from stake holders / curriculum update?<br />

Ans:- Quality is paid great attention <strong>in</strong> this University. Academic peers from other<br />

<strong>in</strong>stitutions and <strong>in</strong>dustrialists are <strong>in</strong>volved <strong>in</strong> curriculum development as<br />

members of Board of Studies.<br />

A specially constituted Academic Audit Committee takes special <strong>in</strong>terest <strong>in</strong><br />

the quality of courses, delivery, exams, assessment, formal & non formal<br />

programmes etc.<br />

Academic flexibility is available e.g. – a student can migrate from UG to<br />

Integrated PG at the start<strong>in</strong>g of the third year.<br />

Quality permeates through all the teach<strong>in</strong>g-learn<strong>in</strong>g process and<br />

assessment.<br />

Formal and <strong>in</strong>formal mechanism of obta<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g feedback from all stakeholders<br />

for systematic <strong>in</strong>corporation of the same.<br />

Curriculum revision is done on a regular basis.<br />
