3.5 Collaborations<br />
3.5.1 How many l<strong>in</strong>kages does the <strong>in</strong>stitution have, for research and extension?<br />
Ans:-The University has signed MOU with the University of Missouri for academic,<br />
research and student and staff exchange programmes.<br />
3.5.2 List the organizations and the nature of l<strong>in</strong>kage and expected outcomes.<br />
Ans:- This l<strong>in</strong>kages will be used for higher studies, research and tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>gs for the<br />
students as well as faculty members.<br />
3.5.3 How does the l<strong>in</strong>kage promote<br />
a) Curriculum development : The l<strong>in</strong>kage br<strong>in</strong>gs both the parties together.<br />
Discussions take place and curriculum is enriched.<br />
b) Internship : A great benefit of l<strong>in</strong>kage is to obta<strong>in</strong> permission from the<br />
organization to send students for <strong>in</strong>ternship.<br />
c) On-the-job tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g : One of the purpose of the l<strong>in</strong>kage is to provide facilities<br />
for on-the-job-tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g. Great advantage is taken of the l<strong>in</strong>kage <strong>in</strong> this<br />
regard.<br />
d) Faculty exchange and development : Due to l<strong>in</strong>kage, faculty visits the<br />
organization and spends time over there, for study, while personnel from<br />
the organization visits the University for talks & discussions.<br />
e) Research : The library with hard copies and e-books & e-journals of the<br />
organization is a great attraction for our faculty & students.<br />
f) Consultancy : The organization is a great source of the projects allotted. This<br />
is possible due to l<strong>in</strong>kage.<br />
g) Extension : Due to l<strong>in</strong>kage, the facilitation of extension programmes occurs<br />
as it is seen from the activities of Directorate of Extension.<br />
h) Publication : The l<strong>in</strong>kage gives rise to jo<strong>in</strong>t publication.<br />
i) Student Placement : L<strong>in</strong>kages are quite useful <strong>in</strong> the journey towards student<br />
placement. Visits from both the sides help to br<strong>in</strong>g an awareness which<br />
strengthens the bonds and helps student’s placement.<br />

3.6.1 Describe the best practices <strong>in</strong> research, consultancy and extension with reference to<br />
promotion of research / publication output / consultancy and extension activities /<br />
collaborations?<br />
Ans:- There are a large number of best practices followed <strong>in</strong> the University<br />
173
